This year we have revamped our Angel Tree to better support families in need of clothing. To qualify, you will have to be nominated by a faculty member. If your child is nominated, you will be notified.
If you would like to sponsor the Angel Tree "Socks From Santa" program, please contact Ashley Downard or Heidi Christensen, at the high school.
Fifteen Years of Service:
Here is an interesting fact for you. Pinnacle Canyon Academy has been around for fifteen years! Because of this, we are focusing on service this school year. During the month of November, we are participating in Dimes for Dinners and a Food Drive. What are they?
Dimes for Dinners: Find the loose change in your cars, pockets, washers and dryers, and couches. Send the change to the school with a student. What are we doing with the money? We have a three-fold plan. First, we are providing gift certificates to families that would otherwise go without a Thanksgiving dinner. Second, we are raising funds to buy hygiene and daily living items as well as sending baby blankets and burp cloths for babies and children who live in an orphanage in Mexico. Lastly, we are raising funds to support a local young boy who was born without teeth. We are helping the family purchase dentures for him. Please support the community by sharing you change! We are accepting donations until November 20.
Food Drive: If you have some cans of food to share, please send the food with a student to the school. Not only are we gathering cans to help the members of the community, we are also having a contest. Each grade has a specific spot to deliver cans to. Help your fellow classmates win the contest, and support families.
The program that helps students get ready for the future is here at Pinnacle. Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs, or GEAR UP, will help do that. Follow the link to find out how they help students. If you are interested in GEAR UP, please contact a school administrator.
